How to use Essential Oils for Bath (B)
Add essential oils to a tablespoon of Vegetable Glycerine, then add blend to bath water. This will ensure the essential oils are dispersed evenly in the water. If you do not have a bath then a foot bath is recommended. Refer to above for dilutions.
What are the most effective ways to introduce essential oils into the body?

*Dilution per 10 ml of carrier oil or base cream.
#Note: some essential oils are contra-indicated for pregnancy.
Avoid all essential oils during the first trimester.
Massage/Skin Applications (M): Determine the age of the
person the blend is for and decide if the blend is to be used on
the face or body.
How to use Essential Oils for Inhalation (I):
Add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water. Cover the head with a towel and inhale the vapours for five minutes. Close your eyes. Not recommended for asthmatics.
How to use Essential oils for Vapourisation (V)
Candle burner: add 6 drops to a dish 3/4 full of water. Electric burner: see manufacturer’s directions.
How to use Essential Oils in a Compress (C)
Add essential oil to one tablespoon of Vegetable Glycerine, and mixture to one litre of water (refer to table in FAQ's for dilutions).
Place a soft cloth over the surface, lightly squeeze out excess moisture, and place onto the skin. It is advisable to use the appropriate water temperature for your specific concern.
Cold Water: Sprains, bruises, headaches
Warm Water: Skin treatments
Hot Water: Boils, arthritis, rheumatism
How to use Essential Oils in Spritzers (S)
Dilute the essential oils (refer to table in FAQ's for dilutions) into Vegetable Glycerine (one teaspoon per 100ml of water), then add to water. Shake well before use.
How to use Essential Oils for Massage/Skin Applications (M)
Determine the age of the person the blend is for and decide if the blend is to be used on the face or body.
How to use Essential Oils using the Direct method (D)
The following essential oils can be used direct as they are already diluted 3% in Jojoba.
- Chamomile
- Roman Chamomile
- Jasmine
- Neroli
- Rose
