I have really been enjoying using the Oil Garden Aromatherapy range, I love that they contain no sulphates, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, TEA’s or parabens. It is certified organic with the moisturiser containing 99% natural ingredients and also made right here in Australia. The base of the moisturiser is made up of organic Aloe Vera, Rose Hip and Macadamia oil and enriched with Bergamot and Geranium.
This really does smell divine and not overpowering at all, I love the smell of Bergamot and Geranium combined and a combo that I quite often use together in my diffuser.. very relaxing!
This moisturiser is so lightweight and easily absorbed as a daily moisturiser, great to use after the matching Oil Garden Aromatherapy face scrub. It is a nice creamy white consistency, not too thick and easy to apply over my face leaving my skin feeling very refreshed. It comes packaged in a lovely pump bottle, which makes it very easy to use and comes out easily.

The natural wood look on the lid is so pretty
I would highly recommend this moisturiser, the bottle is quite small at 50ml but a little goes a long way.

  3. A luxurious organic moisturiser
    80%
Thank you Beauty Heaven for the opportunity to trial Oil Garden Aromatherapy Nourishing Facial Moisturiser.

The moisturiser comes in a 50ml plastic bottle with a faux wood pull off top. The lotion is dispensed effectively and hygenically with a pump applicator. The moisturiser contains a natural base of organic Aloe Vera, Rose Hip and Macadamia Oil and is enriched with Bergamot and Geranium.

I used the facial moisturiser after cleansing and using the Oil Garden Clarifying Facial Scrub. The moisturiser is white in colour and lightweight. Despite being lightweight it is very moisturising, non greasy and absorbs easily into the skin. It has a nice natural, fresh, refreshing scent which is not overpowering. Skin is left feeling smooth, soft and hydrated.

This will be great to use in the warmer months to keep skin hydrated as it is so light and soothing on my skin.

I would prefer if the packaging was slightly larger than its current 50 ml size.

Love that this moisturiser contains 92.

    90% of organic ingredients.
This product does not contain sulfates, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or parabens.

It is Australian made, vegan friendly and their products are not tested on animals.

    Any Tips?:

  4. A lovely light and hydrating moisturiser
    100%
I was fortunate enough to be part of the Beauty Heaven trial team for Oil Garden Aromatherapy Nourishing Facial Moisturiser.

This is a lovely light weight moisturiser that left my skin feeling hydrated but not greasy. The product left my skin feeling comfortable and it provides a lovely base for make up. I found that I did not require a primer when I used this product. This product does not contain a sunscreen so I simply waited a few minutes for it to absorb before applying an SPF30 during the day. I also used this moisturiser before bed and found the wonderful scent of essential oils very calming. It is not greasy at all but is hydrating enough for my sometimes dry skin. I loved the matt finish as well.

After a few weeks of twice daily use, I noticed that my skin appeared more uniform in colour and that my pores seemed to have diminished.

I love that the product is almost entirely natural and that it did not cause irritation or leave my skin feeling heavy or looking oily.

My skin felt soothed and comfortable and I felt that the essential oils were good for my mood too!
The pump pack with the faux wood lid looks sophisticated and elegant in my bathroom. I enjoyed the pump pack for ease of use and hygiene.

I would definitely purchase this product again and am very grateful for the opportunity to trial it.

    Any Tips?:
Makes a wonderful base for makeup. Use daily on cleansed skin and enjoy the beautiful scent and non greasy yet hydrated skin.
    Ideal For...:
Those looking for a natural and lightweight moisturiser with a beautiful natural scent.

  5. Great Moisturiser
    100%
This is a really good moisturiser, it goes into the skin pretty fast , doesn't leave that greasy bit on the face. The skin feels really soft.I use it every morning , after cleansing my face with Oil Garden Facial Scrub.
It is in the same time excellent to wear under makeup.
The pump makes it really easy to use and it is really hygienic, I hate the bottles where you have to stick your fingers all the time.
What I like about the bottle is also the lead , the wood like look, it makes you believe that product is coming from a spa.

    Any Tips?:
    Use it in the morning

    All skin types

  6. Rich soft scented moisturiser that ticks all boxes
    100%
This is a really lovely product - with a beautiful fresh scent that’s like a combination of floral and macademia nut - quite light. The product comes in a slim, easy to handle bottle with an attractive wood look top (easy to find in my cluttered drawer) - and has a hygienic dispensing pump which, if pressed lightly, puts out just the right amount. The cream is rich and great for older skin like mine but absorbs quickly so you can put makeup on top pretty much straightaway. It leaves the skin soft, hydrated and feeling great all day. I love the all-natural ingredients and feel like this is doing good things for my skin - not just making it look good, like aloe vera, rose hip oil, cacao seed butter and essential oils which add to the beautiful scent (but not at all overpowering).

    Any Tips?:
Because this is a day cream which doesn’t contain a sunscreen, I’d recommend that you layer it with a sunscreen if you’re spending much time outside or in the sun (especially in summer). Because it doesn’t clump up, it layers quite well - I’ve just been using it first and then applying sunscreen on top and it protects my skin from the sunscreen irritation I sometimes get. It can also be used as a night cream because it’s so rich - and I’ve done that several times and woken up with quite soft skin, which, combined with the slim bottle make this a great travel product. It also takes off makeup quite well.
    Ideal For...:
This is quite a rich moisturiser so I do feel it’s particularly good for older, or dry skin, but it’s light enough for anyone, and the natural ingredients are gentle ones that make this also very good for sensitive skin. The aloe vera will likely have a positive impact on blemish prone skin. A real all-rounder!

  7. A rich cream that has just the right amount of 'aromatherpahy' for me
    100%
Usually, I tend to stay away from products that are labelled with anything 'aromatherapy' (unless they are pure essential oils) because I find the scent too overpowering. This however, had just the right amount of 'aromatherapy' to me. The smell is absolutely beautiful. A beautiful, subtle scent that still has all the natural and aromatheraphy notes in it but its not too heavy. I love it.

I love packaging of this moisturiser. It reflects the natural and pure makeup of the product, and the wooden lid with the pump is both beautiful and practical at the same time. It's really lightweight and would be perfect for travel as well.

It's a facial moisturiser, but there are too reasons why I prefer to use this only at night.

    1. It doesn't have any SPF in it - no biggie, but it would require you mix it in or layer it with SPF to protect from UV rays

    2. For my younger, oilier skin it's a little too rich and heavy for me, especially now in the warmer months, so it's not a good option for me as a day cream

However, I LOVE using this in my night time routine.

Before bed, I aim to use something that's deeply moisturising and nourishing for my resting phase of the day. It layers on perfectly with my other products (not like some others I've tied that go a weird texture on my skin once layered on top of other products) and glides on beautifully on my skin. I don't need a lot of this to cover my face, I don't even use a full pump on most nights so it will last a while. It also makes my skin look and feel fresh, awake and hydrated when I wake in the morning. I'm loving what is has been doing for my skin in the short time I've been using it, and I'll continue to use it from hereon in.
I think this a really great, affordable moisturiser that isn't loaded with a bunch of unnecessary 'filler ingredients'. It's an honest moisturiser with some great ingredients like Aloe Vera, Rosehip Oil, and cacao seed butter. It also contains bergamot and geranium which I absolutely adore and they do really well in this product.

    Any Tips?:
If using during the day, be sure to add in SPF to your morning routine

  8. Light weight & scented
    100%
We're fans of the Oil Garden Aromatherapy brand, having already used some of their essential oils, so we were delighted to be offered a chance to trial their recently launched skincare range, in particular the 'Clarifying Facial Scrub' and 'Nourishing Facial Moisturizer'.

Like moisturizer is creamy, lightly scented and light. Quickly absorbed, it keeps my dry/oily combo skin soft all day underneath the sunscreen. It doesn't roll and come off like a rubber when you rub your skin. It was a light fragrance that isn't overwhelming and can be layered.

    Any Tips?:
Use after washing your face, over eye cream. Give it a minute to skin in before applying sunscreen.

  9. Beautifully Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
    100%
Thank you to Oil Garden and Beautyheaven for the opportunity to trial this Oil Garden Nourishing Facial Moisturiser.

It comes packaged in a 50ml bottle with a pump action dispenser and a faux wood lid. I love that it contains 99% natural and 92.90% organic ingredients. This gives me the peace of mind knowing that I am not putting nasty chemicals on my skin.

This facial moisturiser has a light and fresh natural fragrance. It is quickly absorbed into my skin and delivers an instant moisture boost. I am impressed by how it leaves my skin feeling so perfectly soft and nourished. This would be thanks to the blend of beautiful skin loving oils and extracts it contains.

This facial moisturiser retails for $29.99 for 50ml which is a good price for this high quality product. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a highly nourishing facial moisturiser.

  10. Hydration in a bottle
    100%
This product is an absolute winner - it ticks all the boxes for a natural moisturiser - quality ingredients, high performance delivered in a user-friendly pump bottle.

I have dry dehydrated skin and some days my dehydration lines can look more obvious than usual. This moisturiser seems to fill and smooth out the lines and plump up my skin. It acts as a great base under makeup. While it lacks SPF, this doesn't really bother me as I use a zinc-based sunscreen on top.

The botanical scent is a big plus for me because my pet hate is cloying, nauseating floral scents in skincare.

Overall, this is a great basic moisturiser - I leave it up to my arsenal of serums to deliver powerful skin actives - and a product like this seals in all the goodness.

Pros: great packaging, pleasant scent, hydrating, non-greasy, 'clean' skincare
    Cons: none

  11. Nourishing
    100%
The moisturiser comes in a hard plastic pump bottle containing 50ml. The lid pops off and has a good, strong hold so it won't easily pop off if you are travelling. I also really like the fake wood design. The primary ingredient is aloe vera juice which is much nicer than water! It's jam packed of nourishing oils and essential oils. The scent is not as strong as the scrub and it dissipates once applied to the skin. I used this moisturiser everyday in the morning after cleansing/scrub. Two pumps is enough for my face and it absorbs so well! The consistency is very creamy. Immediately on application my skin feels soothed and just seems to drink it up. I have fairly normal but at times sensitive/dry skin and I had no issues with this moisturiser. No dryness observed throughout the day. I applied this product without any other product and it is very gentle, including the delicate eye area. There is no SPF which I really like. This moisturiser really delivers on it's claims and it couldn't be simpler to use.

Very impressed that it's Aussie made, vegan and cruelty free. I would definitely repurchase this.

  12. My new favourite moisturiser!
    100%
I was lucky enough to try the Oil Garden Nourishing Facial Moisturiser as part of the November Discovery bag. I am a huge lover of natural and organic products and was especially excited to try this moisturizer. Overall it exceeded my expectations and is now my new favourite moisturiser.

This moisturiser smells luxurious, every time I use it I get transported to my favourite day spa. I could rave on all day about all the ingredients in this product that are actually good enough to eat! Also, the formula has jus the right consistency to apply, it is not to heavy or watery. I have used it alongside the matching facial scrub and noticed a significant difference in the appearance of my skin. My skin overall felt more hydrated and clear. As I have sensitive skin I sometimes get reactions to certain ingredients, however, I found this moisturiser to be very gentle and nourishing.

I actually really like how it does not have sunscreen in it, I feel like it defeats the purpose of having a natural and organic product if you were to add sunscreen chemicals in it.

It would also take away from the beautiful scent! If you want sunscreen apply it afterwards, however, I see no point in really using organic skin care if you use sunscreen over the top of it everyday.
The only thing I don’t love is the dispenser, it often gets air in it and has taken up to 6 pumps at times to get any moisturiser out. It once even projected moisturiser to the other side of the room! As it has no tube running down the bottle it makes me wonder if it will be harder to dispense when it reaches closer to the bottom.

I think the price is fair considering the ingredients used. I would definitely recommend to others and will continue to buy when this runs out!

    Any Tips?:
Apply sparingly morning and night for beautiful hydrated skin.
    Ideal For...:
Those who love organic products or have sensitive skin.

  13. You will smell like you've just stepped out of Endota
    40%
    40%
I was lucky enough to be invited to try this really nicely packaged nourishing facial moisturiser with organic aloe vera, rose hip oil, bergamot and geranium and I have been trying this moisturiser for the last couple of weeks. Now that it has come time to review it, I am still not convinced that I really like it. I think the main thing that has been putting me off is the quite over-powering scent. Don't get me wrong, it smells really nice, but I just find it too strong, especially with this horrible hayfever weather that we have been getting. Anyway, back to the product, it has a nice, light and almost gel like feeling on the skin, which doesn't leave it feeling too greasy or shiny. I, however, found that it wasn't quite moisturising enough for my skin. It also has a really nice soothing feeling, which was great for those couple of days after I accidently got a little sunburnt.

    Ideal For...:
most skin types, and anyone after that lovely aromatherapy, almost Endota like feeling.

  14. Trial Team Review
    100%
Being chosen for this review made my day as I have always wanted to give Oil Garden aromatherapy oils a go but never got around to it, so seeing they had a skincare range made me super happy! The packaging is cute, it looks just like the oils do and comes in a handy pimp bottle which I love! The pump meant I wasn't using more product than I needed. It's a light moisturiser which is perfect for the insane heat we are experiencing in Queensland at the moment, it absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky at all. It's fantastic as a morning moisturiser, my only concern and thing that I would change about it, is the lack of sunscreen in it. I feel that for a moisturiser, especially one you use at the start of the day!, to be any good it is going to need some form of SPF protection in it. So that was disappointing not to see it in there. It smelt lovely, with bergamot and geranium being the key essential oils as with the facial scrub, but just like the scrub it wasn't an overpowering scent at all and was very calming.

I would use this product again but would be even more likely to buy it if it had SPF protection.

  15. A moisturiser with a primer feel (could this be a secret two in one?)
    60%
I had no idea of the extensive range of products this lovely humble Australian company produces and after trialling the Nourishing Facial Moisturiser and the Facial Scrub, I am keen to try some of their other products- particularly their range of organic oils. This product claimed to be part of the Certified Organic Skincare range, with organic aloe vera, and rose hip oil- two of favourite face products. It also contained bergamot and geranium- I think these may have been what gave the product the scent which took me a few uses to get used to.

I really enjoyed the creamy consistency of the product and loved the pump dispenser (although this is so travel unfriendly- I could see this pumping all over the place as the lid is not so secure) 5 pumps gave me good coverage over the face and decolletage area.

I was surprised to find this product, even jam packed with such luxe oils was easily and quickly absorbed into the skin area- I really expected to be left with a greasy after feel- but NO! This Nourishing Facial Moisturiser actually behaved more like a primer and allowed for easy makeup application as it felt like a secure base.

My only down side is that there is NO SPF protection- a big minus for me as I am in the sun most of the time for work......

    Any Tips?:
Forget the need for a primmer- the makeup just clings to this Nourishing Facial Moisturiser with ease.
    Ideal For...:
Ideal for those looking for great hydration (but heads up there is no SPF in this one) and a product behaving like a primmer too.

  16. Skin radiated that special glow
    80%
On receiving this product I had not heard of the brand but on the plastic container I could see that it was Australian Made, Vegan friendly and not tested on animals. Certified Organic Skincare and suitable to all skin types.

On seeing the contents of Aloe Vera, Rose Hip Oil, Bergamot & Geranium I was a little concerned as three products are not allowed for me on a long term daily basis. (sad face) I do love how the lid looks like wood. Pull off the lid and you are then given a plastic pump container. The container looks beautiful on my bathroom shelf.

What greeted me when I pumped up the first time was a very soft scent that was kind to my sensitive nose. It was easy to pump out a small amount to massage onto my face. The cream is so very light, white and creamy so felt beautiful as I applied to my face. There was no sign of any sticky feelings, absolutely non greasy on my dry face. I did use for just a few days and am really impressed with the results.

My make-up routine applied easily on top too.
With such wonderful essential organic oils in this product it’s no wonder your skin feels fabulously radiant. Even if I only used it for 3 consecutive days, I could see and feel the benefits after one day.

I love how this product has no sulphates, silicones or parabens. Sulphates are a no no for me as I have an allergy to them, although I have used them and paid the consequences.

I have since looked at their site for other products that perhaps I could use and have seen some that will be on my wish list.

My husband has now eyed the product and he has no allergies or restrictions to the product.

    Any Tips?:
If you are sensitive to strong scents like I am, I found this one quite pleasant.

It doesn't have any SPF but I always add sunscreen later on.
    Ideal For...:
    All skin types.

  17. Love love LOVE IT!!
    100%
I often have trouble finding moisturisers that don't leave my skin an oily mess within an hour, but this product has been an absolute game changer!
I've been using this for a little over a week now and already my skins texture and radiance has improved.
The formula is light and pleasantly scented. As with other products in this range, a little goes a long long way making this value for money. The product absorbs into the skin quickly, priming the skin for the day/make up.

I use this moisturiser morning and night after cleansing and toning, and have found it has slotted into my daily routine with ease! I will definitely be adding this to my list of favourites!

    Ideal For...:
    Everyone!

  18. Scent is divine!
    100%
I received the Nourishing Facial Moisturiser from Oil Garden as part of the November Discovery Bag. This was my first introduction to this brand and I was pretty excited to try it as lately I have been very conscious of using natural, organic products that are free from such chemical nasties as parabens and sulphates. So this was absolutely spot on for me. This moisturiser is free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals and any synthetic fragrances. It states on the bottle that it is in fact 92.90% organic, which is pretty impressive.

It comes in a neat looking plastic pump bottle with the lid coloured as faux wood. The pump allows for easy and clean dispensing and keeps any external bacteria away from the product, which I always look for in skin care packaging. The moisturiser itself is white in colour and has a light, creamy consistency without any heaviness. It is absorbed into the skin very easily - just apply and it sinks right in! My skins feels fresh, hydrated and supple after using it.

And the scent! My goodness, but this scent is completely incredible! The mixture of rose hip oil, bergamot and geranium are amazing. Bergamot just happens to be one of my favourite things in the world, so it's like this was made especially for me! The scent is both relaxing and refreshing all at once. Love it to bits!

My only comment is that while the direction on the package suggest using it in the morning, it has no SPF at all, so I've been using it either at night or during day time if I know I'll be staying indoors.

    Any Tips?:
If using during day time ensure that you put SPF over it.

I received the Nourishing Facial Moisturiser from Oil Garden and this was the first time I had ever used this brand.

I have very sensitive skin and the moisturiser was lovely. It comes in an easy to use bottle, you do not need a lot and it goes along way.

It absorbs really easily and smells gorgeous! Leaves my skin feeling beautifully smooth and soft. Velvet texture which leaves your skin feeling radiant and hydrated.

  20. Lightweight and organic base
    80%
Oil Garden seem to be onto something with these nourishing face products. I tried this moisturiser out while on holiday in a very humid hot climate so keeping my face feeling fresh on the trip was key, this lightweight moisturiser did the trick.

It comes in beautiful packaging, the faux wood lid was a cute addition. The pump bottle was a definite winner, it made applying the right amount super easy. it has a nice scent also, natural and not overpowering.

I applied this moistuiser in the mornings and generally without make up on top (i did test it a few times with make up in the evenings and it held up well, didn't make my face really oily). My face did get oily in the T zone but i get that with all moisturisers. My fac efelt breathable and not sticky to touch.

I'm really looking forward to continuing using this moisturiser throughout the summer. On days i don't wear make up (which has SPF) i'll probably leave this out for the night routine.

  21. beautiful with a strong natural scent
    80%
how super cute is this packaging!!??!! i love the whole wooden (fake) top that has very realistic grains to it.the white and green writing is very rustic and beautiful.
the pump is very sturdy and deposits a perfect amount of product for the face.

the scent is a little over whelming for my liking. it is quite strong on the bergamot front...

the moisturiser is quite a soft formula. is very light to apply however it sits on the skin for about 5 minutes before absorbing into the skin. it does make it a little difficult to out makeup over however it is perfect for night time or just after a shower.

  22. Smells Beautiful and very Lightweight moisturiser
    80%
Firstly I received the Nourishing Facial Moisturiser from Oil Garden along with the facial scrub from being a part of the trial team.

The first thing I liked about this product was that it is a natural and 92.90% organic product free from nasty chemicals such as parabens and sulphates. This is something I am conscious of when purchasing any products. The moisturiser does not contain any parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, silicones, petrochemicals or synthetic fragrances. The fragrance of the product is very subtle and is made up from all the natural ingredients - no added fragrance is needed to make this product smell any better

The second thing i liked about this product was that it came in an easy to use pump bottle with a wooden looking lid to tie in with the natural theme. I use 2 pumps to use on my whole face and neck.

The application is smooth and light weight. It dries within seconds and there is no residue. Straight away the skin feels so soft. What I dont like about this is that it tends to feel a little "tight" on the face after a while and i feel like i needed to reapply more often througout the day.

But given this product is using natural ingredients such as oils and such, its clear to see why this happens.
I havent seen any noticeable difference or improvement in my skin, but just knowing that I'm using a combination of natural oils and ingredients to help my skin is good enough for me to use this in the long run.

If you have dry skin I probably wouldnt opt for this product. but on the other hand if you have combination to oily skin then this could work for you. This product would also be great during the summer months when all you need is a light moisturiser to get you through the day.

    Ideal For...:
People looking for natural alternatives to skincare and those with oily skin

  23. November Discovery Bag
    100%
I have received this moisturiser together with the facial scrub and I must say that it's a good combination.

The packaging is cute and goes really well with the theme of the brand. It's a pump up bottle but the nozzle is small enough not to dispense too much which is my pet peeve. I haven't used any product from this brand but I'm always happy to try organic or natural products from new brands and this one didn't disappoint.

It has a nice natural sweet scent which is common for organic products. It's not overpowering although I wouldn't mind if the scent stays on longer.

The moisturiser is not sticky at all and my skin absorbs it quickly which is important for the morning rush. My skin feels hydrated and well moisturised all day long.

I also like that it's compatible with either a liquid or mineral powder foundation and it doesn't make the foundation ball up.

The price is somewhat higher than my regular moisturiser so that will be one of the deciding factors for me if I will buy it next time.

Overall, I really like it and I'm happy that I got to try trial this product.

  24. Lovely
    100%
I really love this moisturiser. I love that it’s certified organic & thus good for my skin. It feels really nice on as it disappears & leaves no residue. It’s light & has a subtle, fresh citrusy smell. It’s in a pump bottle, which i love, as it’s super easy, quick, & 1 pump does my face & neck. It’s lasted me a few months now, so you get alot of pumps out of it. Would highly recommend this product.

  25. This moisturiser feels silky and lightweight on your skin

This moisturiser feels silky and lightweight on your skin and yet you would think it was going to be a heavier cream because it's so nourishing and rich. It does the job of a richer moisturiser, it has a luxurious fragrance and feel, the application is quick as it is not heavy and it is readily absorbed into my skin, leaving my skin feeling dewy, fresh and silken. I thoroughly recommend this lovely moisturiser. I am happy with my purchase.

Despite being lightweight, it is very moisturising, non-greasy and absorbs easily into the skin. My skin is left feeling smooth, soft and hydrated. It will be great to use in the warmer months to keep my skin hydrated, as it is light and smoothing on my skin.
