Journey to the source

From farm to bottle Oil Garden understands the importance of quality in order to harness the full healing potential of using pure essential oils. The growing conditions, the soil, the climate, the distillation process and even the farmer who tends to his crop, are crucial to the final delivery of each drop of Oil Garden essential oil. From the freshness of lemon groves in the South of Italy, to the fields of delicate sweet daisy-like petals of chamomile flowers in Germany to the pungent leaves of eucalyptus forests in Australia, Oil Garden is there each step of the way. We source our oils from a global network that follows the protocol necessary in producing the highest quality essential oils. The process is monitored each step of the way to ensure that all the active compounds in the plant remain present in the essential oil.

  • GROWING: Oil Garden pure essential oils are grown in healthy soil from seeds that are true to species and predominantly from their natural habitat.
  • HARVESTING: Correct harvesting processes ensure quality, optimal yield and that key compounds are preserved in each Oil Garden oil.
  • DISTILLATION: At Oil Garden, we take pride in ensuring our oils are 100% pure and natural. Steam distillation is the most common method of extraction and pressure, temperature and time have to be precisely adjusted for each essential oil. In most cases slow careful distillation is required to maintain our high standards of quality at Oil Garden.
  • WATCH OUT: for commercially grown oils that combine different species and different batches together or even related species or subspecies. With high volume turn over it is very hard to monitor what is happening in the growing fields. High volume suppliers are left with little option but to rely on agents to source their raw ingredients and often their essential oils arrive bottled and ready for labelling at the point of sale.
