DIY Hand Sanitiser

Posted by Oil Garden on 8th May 2024

It’s more important than ever to ensure we are looking out for our hygiene and nothing beats regularly washing your hands with soapy water to minimize the spread of germs. When there isn’t a tap nearby, Hand Sanitisers are great to have in your handbag, car or desk at work when a quick refresh is needed, and they’re super easy to make with just a few household ingredients!

Ingredients
• 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel
• 1 tbsp of tap water
• 2/3 cup of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)
• 3 drops each of marjoram, pine needle and lemon

These oils have been traditionally used in aromatherapy for their natural antibacterial action to improve the performance of this product.

Mix well and rub at intervals to sanitise hands.

Did you know that adding essential oils to aloe gel has the same effect as soap in this recipe?
